rankmylist
Published on 30th Oct 2018
In the era of social media, polarized politics, accusations of bias and "fake news", consumers of news in the US have to filter through the noise to get to the heart of current issues and events. Gone are the days of the likes of Walter Cronkite, when one could simply tune in to mainstream news and hear unbiased and factual commentary. Americans are increasingly looking beyond just the traditional outlets as their news source. But even in the midst of tweetstorms, racial epithets and political correctness, we all have some news sources that we trust more than others. Which would you rank as the best? Which do you judge to be the worst? Rank this list to let us know and comment below to share your opinion. If you think we have missed any of your favorite outlets, please add them as suggestions.

The most powerful deathly hallow in Harry Potter

Published on 11th Mar 2018
When it comes to choosing my most favorite parts about Harry Potter, the three Deathly Hallows from the Tales of Beedle the Bard are one of them. I guess for most of the Potterheads it is more or less the same. The entire concept of the deathly hallows just never stops to fascinate me every time I watch the movies or read the books. It is absolutely brilliant and genius how the three deathly hallows have in some way or another appeared throughout the series before the final book and the last two movies and we just never happened to get the hint of them even after being such crucial elements in the story. Well, let's just please take off our invisible hats ( or if we're wearing one :p ) to J.K Rowling once again, for gifting us potterheads with the deathly hallows. Potterheads or not, you're more than welcome to rank the list. ;)

When it comes to any of the storytelling art, may it be books, series, movies, songs - names and titles are the most elementary part of them . And, when we anime watchers who don't know any Japanese, add an anime to our "to watch list" from reading its title after checking out the genre and the plot, only to finish the entire series and think "why was it even named after that?" It gets really mysterious (Nah who am I kidding? Frustrating! ) We are sharing you a list of the names of those anime.. Ranking will be very much appreciated and Suggestions will be wholeheartedly welcomed !

Best Feminist Books that Everyone should read

Published on 26th Feb 2018
Feminists and books go together. Whether feminists are writing books or reading them or both, the literary world has long been a place for women to tell their stories, in both fiction and nonfiction. It's been a place for women to do so on their own terms, not through male intermediaries. And in today's literary landscape, that is more true than ever. There's no better way to get educated, get angry, get inspired, and get impassioned than by cracking open a book. Each of the novels, memoirs, and essay collections will draw you in with quality writing and even more compelling stories. These are books that give time to the stories, lives, and truths of women. Each is worth a read, and then worth buying for all your friends to read, too.

Best Mortal Kombat Characters

Published on 10th Feb 2018
Mortal Kombat is a video game franchise that requires no introduction. Originally developed by Midway Games' Chicago studio in 1992, it and its sequels remain a staple among aficionados of fighting games after a quarter century. At the time of its release the game was unique for its fantasy-horror themed fighting genre and spawned many sequels and a media franchise consisting of several action-adventure games, films (animated and live-action with its own sequel), and television series (animated and live-action). Other spin-offs include comic book series, a card game and a live-action tour. Along with Capcom's Street Fighter and Bandai Namco Entertainment's Tekken, Mortal Kombat has become one of the most successful fighting franchises in the history of video games. As of June 2000, the franchise had generated $5 billion in revenue, making it one of the highest-grossing media franchises of all time. The series has a reputation for high levels of bloody violence, including, most notably, its Fatalities (finishing moves, requiring a sequence of button inputs to perform). The Fatalities, in part, led to the creation of the ESRB video game rating system. The series takes place in a fictional universe consisting of eighteen surviving realms. The Elder Gods decreed that the denizens of one realm could only conquer another realm by defeating the defending realm's greatest warriors in ten consecutive Mortal Kombat tournaments. The series features scores of player characters. Among them are Earth's humans and cyborgs, good and evil deities, and denizens of Outworld and other realms. Here is a list of all the characters that appeared in the Mortal Kombat Franchise - Rank them from most favorite to least to tell us who ought to be the real champion of Mortal Kombat! Most Popular Torrent Sites
Channel Image Thumbnail
adib_aunik
Published on 4th Feb 2018
When you hear the word “torrent” in the tech world, it usually refers to a computer file that contains metadata holding various information. A torrent file normally comes with the extension .torrent but it does not contain the actual contents to be distributed. This information will then be used by a BitTorrent software such as uTorrent, Transmission or BitTorrent for the “real” distribution – which essentially allows for users to easily download torrent files to their personal computers. In short, a torrent file acts as the key to initiating downloading of the actual content. When someone is interested in receiving a shared file (i.e. books, music, documents, etc.), they must first obtain the corresponding torrent file – by either downloading the .torrent file directly or by using a magnet link. In order to get a torrent file, people surf various popular torrent sites. With the recent demise of KickassTorrents and Torrentz, other popular sites are boosting over the internet. Again those sites are having issues staying afloat and available to users due to cloudfare errors or potential countrywide ban. Considering all these, a torrent user always looks for a torrent site to download his/hers demanding movies, musics or else. Share your rank here right now and update the rank to let other know which torrent sites are top trending at the moment. Suggestions are open for all in case of different popular torrent sites.

The Best Agatha Christie Novels

Published on 8th Jul 2018
Dame Agatha Mary Clarissa Christie, Lady Mallowan, DBE (born Miller; 15 September 1890 – 12 January 1976) was an English writer. She is known for her 66 detective novels and 14 short story collections, particularly those revolving around her fictional detectives Hercule Poirot and Miss Marple. Christie also wrote the world's longest-running play, a murder mystery, The Mousetrap,[1] and six romances under the name Mary Westmacott. In 1971 she was appointed a Dame Commander of the Order of the British Empire (DBE) for her contribution to literature. Christie was born into a wealthy upper-middle-class family in Torquay, Devon. Before marrying and starting a family in London, she had served in a Devon hospital during the First World War, tending to troops coming back from the trenches. She was initially an unsuccessful writer with six rejections,[3] but this changed when The Mysterious Affair at Styles, featuring Hercule Poirot, was published in 1920.[4] During the Second World War she worked as a pharmacy assistant at University College Hospital, London, during the Blitz and acquired a good knowledge of poisons which featured in many of her subsequent novels. Guinness World Records lists Christie as the best-selling novelist of all time. Her novels have sold roughly 2 billion copies, and her estate claims that her works come third in the rankings of the world's most-widely published books, behind only Shakespeare's works and the Bible. According to Index Translationum, she remains the most-translated individual author – having been translated into at least 103 languages. And Then There Were None is Christie's best-selling novel, with 100 million sales to date, making it the world's best-selling mystery ever, and one of the best-selling books of all time.

Best Star Wars Games

Published on 30th Jan 2018
Star Wars has a long history of video games that have added to the lore and elevated the appeal of the epic saga. There have been dozens of Star Wars games since the early 80's, and the flood has never really subsided over the years. But just like the movies themselves, some titles are remembered much more fondly than others. When considering the best Star Wars games for this list, it is clear that the saga has had its ups and downs when it comes to games. In this list one can find brilliant dog-fighting games, first-person shooters, Jedi dueling and even Real Time Strategy games! There are those all-time classics, like Knights of the Old Republic, which some fans claim to be better than the actual films themselves. Jedi Knight III: Jedi Academy even let you train as an apprentice and become the hero (or villain) you were always destined to be! And there are epic adaptations of battles, races, and dogfights from the movies themselves that fondly remind us of the epic struggle between the Light side and the Dark side of the Force that epitomizes Star Wars. Irrespective of their genre, platform and quality, these games have never failed to remind us why we love Star Wars so much. The games fill us with the same kind of childhood wonder as the classic films themselves. They let us feel as though we are a part of that vast, wonderful universe and that beloved galaxy far, far away!

Published on 12th Jan 2018
There is perhaps no greater Bengali detective series than the famed writer and Oscar-winning director Satyajit Ray's Feluda (ফেলুদা) series. From his humble abode in 21 Rajani Sen Road, Ballygonj, Kolkata, Feluda or Prodosh Chandra Mitra, (প্রদোষ চন্দ্র মিত্র) becomes a celebrated private investigator over a series of 35+ novels and short stories, traveling all over India and beyond with his cousin and ever present "satellite" Topshe (Tapesh Ranjan Mitra) and his lighthearted but dependable friend Jatayu (Lalmohan Ganguly). Replete with drama, suspense, intriguing characters and Ray's unique brand of quaint humor, Feluda stories always hold a class of their own. Starting from Feludar Goendagiri in 1965, there have been 35 complete stories which include full-length novels and short stories and 2 unfinished stories, many of which have been turned into feature films for both the big screen and television. These have included such luminaries as Soumitra Chatterjee and Sabyasachi Chakrabarty and have been directed both by Satyajit Ray's son Sandip Ray and Satyajit Ray himself. Even after half a century of the publication of the first Feluda, the series still earns new fans every day. We all have our favorite stories from the series that we fondly remember and recount to each other. Which ones do you think are the best and why? Best Asterix Comic Books

Published on 18th Dec 2017
"The Adventures of Asterix" is a beloved French comics series originally written by René Goscinny and illustrated by Albert Uderzo (until Goscinny's death in 1977). The series follows the adventures of Asterix, Obelix and a village of indomitable Gauls as they resist Roman occupation under Julius Caesar in 50 BC. They do so by means of a magic potion brewed by their druid Getafix which temporarily gives them superhuman strength. Many of the stories have Asterix, Obelix, Dogmatix and sometimes Getafix travel to foreign countries, though others are set in and around their village. For most of the series, settings in Gaul and abroad were alternated, with even-numbered volumes being set abroad and odd-numbered volumes being set in Gaul, mostly in the village and the surrounding Roman camps. Asterix continues to be one of the most popular comics in the world and has been translated into over 100 languages! The success of the series has led to 13 films: nine animated, and four live action. There have also been a number of games based on the characters, and a theme park near Paris called Parc Astérix. In 2013, a new team consisting of Jean-Yves Ferri (script) and Didier Conrad (artwork) took over the work of creating and publishing new volumes from Uderzo. As of 2017, 37 volumes have been released and several Asterix films have been converted into books. Which book is your favorite? Rank this list by dragging and dropping the items and hit submit to update the average. Don't forget to share and subscribe. May the sky never fall on your heads, by Toutatis!

Best Tintin Comic Books

Published on 27th Nov 2017
The Adventures of Tintin (French: Les Aventures de Tintin; [lez‿avɑ̃tyʁ də tɛ̃tɛ̃]) is a series of comic albums created by Belgian cartoonist Georges Remi, who wrote under the pen name Hergé. The series was one of the most popular European comics of the 20th century. By 2007, a century after Hergé's birth in 1907, Tintin had been published in more than 70 languages with sales of more than 200 million copies, and have been adapted for radio, television, theatre, and film. The series is set during a largely realistic 20th century. Its hero is Tintin, a courageous young Belgian reporter and adventurer. He is aided by his faithful dog Snowy (Milou in the original French edition). Other protagonists include the brash and cynical Captain Haddock and the intelligent but hearing-impaired Professor Calculus (French: Professeur Tournesol), as well as the incompetent detectives Thomson and Thompson (French: Dupont et Dupond) and the opera diva Bianca Castafiore. The series has been admired for its clean, expressive drawings in Hergé's signature ligne claire ("clear line") style. Its well-researched plots straddle a variety of genres: swashbuckling adventures with elements of fantasy, mysteries, political thrillers, and science fiction. The stories feature slapstick humour, offset by dashes of sophisticated satire and political or cultural commentary. Here you'll find a list of all the books that are part of the Tintin Canon - rank them from best to worst and let everyone know why you think that's what the order should be!

In the TV Series Game of Thrones and the books Song of Ice and Fire, Dragons are shown to possess awesome and devastating power, capable of laying waste to armies and burning entire cities to ashes. Men who were able to tame and ride dragons as beasts of war used them to burn their enemies and forge vast empires across the continents of Essos and Westeros. The last surviving dragons in the world are possessed by House Targaryen. Aegon the Conqueror used them to conquer and unify the Seven Kingdoms of Westeros three hundred years before the War of the Five Kings. Most of the Targaryen dragons died in the Dance of the Dragons about a century and a half later, and after that, the only dragons the Targaryens were the size of cats. Soon after the civil war ended, the last Targaryen dragons died, and the species was considered to be extinct throughout the world. When the War of the Five Kings began in Westeros, Daenerys Targaryen was in possession of three petrified dragons eggs. They were given to her as a wedding gift, beautiful to look upon and valuable beyond comprehension, but otherwise useless. However, in a shocking display of old magic, Daenerys miraculously made the eggs hatch, and for the first time in generations, filling the skies of the world with the music of dragons once more.
