When it comes to any of the storytelling art, may it be books, series, movies, songs - names and titles are the most elementary part of them . And, when we anime watchers who don't know any Japanese, add an anime to our "to watch list" from reading its title after checking out the genre and the plot, only to finish the entire series and think "why was it even named after that?" It gets really mysterious (Nah who am I kidding? Frustrating! ) We are sharing you a list of the names of those anime.. Ao Haru Ride
Ao Haru Ride
This anime is a simple Shojo anime. When you read the name it feels as if the protagonists had a connection with some ride in the amusement park which was called Blue Spring Ride! So, I watched it with so many feels and emotions but this is what turns out! They hardly ever even went to any amusement park! So, I just didn’t understand what was going on, later I noticed this! In Japanese “Ao” means Blue, “Haru” means Spring and Ride is an English word, so of course the literal meaning would be Blue Spring Ride, right? Here comes the twist, the name was originally "Aoharu" not "Ao" and "Haru" individually, and the Japanese meaning of "Aoharu" is adolescence, so now it makes more sense. Because this was pretty much anime about some adolescents!

Attack On Titan
#11.4I'm sure a lot of people will be in the stage of "My life is a lie" when they read this! Attack on Titan is one of the most popular anime around this time! So, I'm sure no one quite expected this but let's go through the Japanese name again! “Shingeki no Kyojin” which roughly translates as “The Attacking Titan”! But as the English name suggests “Attack on Titan” meaning Titans getting attacked by humans( or Titans) but after knowing the meaning we can see that the title is talking about a single Attacking Titan!
Erased
#22.0This has got to be the best in the list! Although some people did not like the ending a lot, I’m sure most of us pretty much enjoyed this! But “Erased”? I'm sure a lot of us after watching the anime knows the name doesn't make any sense! It's Japanese name is "Boku dake ga Inai Machi" which roughly translates as "The town without me" or "The town where only I'm missing" but they for I don’t know what reason named it "Erased" out of no where!
Detective Conan
#33.4Detective Conan is a very popular and watched anime of all times.The Japanese name of this series is “Meitantei Conan” here “Meitantei” means Great detective! So the English name of the anime should be “Great Detective Conan” as the meaning suggests! But well let’s see what the English title of the anime is. It is “Case Closed” Where did that seriously come from? I hope our great detective Conan helps us to solve this mystery !
Hajime No Ippo
#43.8It is an Action anime which has a lot fightings or more precisely boxing! People who likes old anime really enjoys it! “Hajime no ippo” roughly translates as “ The First Step” But again for some unknown reason the English title of this anime is “The fighting spirit”

Kimi ga Nozomu Eien
#65.8The English translation of this anime is "The eternity you wish for" but it was given an unrelated official English name "Rambling Hearts"! Again I couldn't solve why!
My Little Monster
#76.4A Shojo anime with a nice love story! The Japanese name is “Tonari no Kaibatsu kun” which roughly translates as “My monster neighbor” but for some reason it was named "My little monster"! Doesn’t make a lot of sense.
