Dee-Ann Kentish-Rogers (born 13 January 1993) is a British model, beauty pageant titleholder and former athlete who was crowned as Miss Universe Great Britain 2018 and will represent Great Britain at the Miss Universe 2018 pageant. She is the first black woman to represent Great Britain at a Miss Universe pageant. She is a graduate of law from the University of Birmingham, as well as being a beauty queen and a barrister, Kentish-Rogers is also an accomplished athlete, having competed in the 2014 Commonwealth Games. She was a heptathlete and ran in the 400 metres in India in 2010 and competed in the heptathlon in Scotland in 2014. She has Anguillan heritage and spends her time between the UK and the British Overseas Territory in the Caribbean. The Anguilla Tourist Board has been one of her major sponsors. Dee-Ann Kentish-Rogers was raised on a farm on the tiny idyllic British haven called Anguilla. She spent her childhood running barefoot around the farm and reading books in trees. From the age of 5 she wanted to be an Olympic athlete and trained hard enough to make the Commonwealth team as a heptathlete twice. However a knee injury prevented Dee-Ann from pursuing that dream. She reinvented herself focusing on becoming a barrister which she successfully completed this year. She spends her time salsa dancing, cycling around Birmingham's canal, spending time with her family and playing sports. If she took home the crown, Dee-Ann would like to advocate for the victims of Female Genital Mutilation and Acid Attacks.
