Tim Bergling (Swedish pronunciation: [tɪm ²bærjlɪŋ]; 8 September 1989 – 20 April 2018), better known by his stage name Avicii, was a Swedish musician, DJ, remixer and record producer. Bergling was ranked third on DJ Magazine in 2012 and 2013 and has been nominated twice for a Grammy Award, once for his work on "Sunshine" with David Guetta in 2012 and once for his song "Levels" in 2013. Some of his most famous songs are "I Could Be the One" with Nicky Romero, "Wake Me Up", "You Make Me", "X You", "Hey Brother", "Addicted to You", "The Days", "The Nights", "Levels", "Waiting for Love", "Without You" and "Lonely Together". He released his debut studio album, True, in 2013. It received generally positive reviews from music critics, peaked within the top ten in more than fifteen countries and topped the Australian, Swedish, Danish and US charts. In 2015, Bergling released his second studio album, Stories. On 10 August 2017, Avicii released an EP titled Avīci (01). He died on 20 April 2018 in Oman.

Levels
#11.2"Levels" (stylised as "LE7ELS") is a big room house piece by Avicii. An early instrumental version of the song was first played by Avicii during an appearance on BBC Radio 1's Essential Mix in December 2010, while the final version with Etta James's vocals was first performed at the Ultra Music Festival in March 2011. "Levels" was officially released on 28 October 2011 and peaked at number one in Sweden and on the Dance music charts in the United States and became a top ten hit in Austria, Belgium, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Denmark, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, the Netherlands, Norway, Switzerland and the United Kingdom. "Levels" contains a vocal sample from the 1962 gospel-inspired song "Something's Got a Hold on Me" by Etta James, as written by Leroy Kirkland, Pearl Woods and James. It is the same sample previously used in Pretty Lights' 2006 song "Finally Moving" from his debut album, Taking Up Your Precious Time. Flo Rida's single "Good Feeling", which became a worldwide hit in late 2011, was primarily influenced by "Levels" and its Etta James sample. Many fans and critics consider "Levels" to be Avicii's greatest song and one of the greatest EDM songs of all time, mostly due to its chart success and the recognisable synth riff.
Wake Me Up
#21.8"Wake Me Up" (stylised as "WAKE ME UP!") is a song by Swedish DJ and electronic music producer Avicii, released as the lead single from his debut studio album True, released on CD and cassette by PRMD Music, Lava Records and Sony Music's Columbia Records on June 17, 2013. American soul singer Aloe Blacc provides vocals for the track and Mike Einziger of Incubus provides acoustic guitar. Avicii introduced "Wake Me Up!" for the first time live on stage at the Ultra Music Festival in Miami. The experimental rendering (it was accompanied by a live band with instruments and vocalists, including Blacc, Einziger and Incubus members Ben Kenney on bass and José Pasillas on drums) reportedly confused and angered a section of the electronic dance festival community. Subsequently, Avicii achieved critical and commercial success with the release of the single worldwide. "Wake Me Up" peaked at number one in much of Europe and charted well in various countries. The song has been described as a "summer anthem" by Variance Magazine and, throughout the 2013 festival season, Avicii included it as part of the opening or closing sequence of his sets at EDC Las Vegas, EDC London, Tomorrowland, Creamfields, Electric Zoo and the iTunes Festival. Due to the success of the song, Blacc later released an acoustic version of "Wake Me Up" in his solo EP Wake Me Up. It was also released as a promotional stand-alone single on Interscope Records, made available online for downloads via iTunes. A separate music video was also made. The Blacc single also charted in its own right in various charts.
Fade Into Darkness
#33.4"Fade into Darkness" is a song by Swedish house producer and DJ Avicii. It features uncredited vocals from Andreas Moe. The single was released on 16 July 2011. The song incorporates elements from "Perpetuum Mobile" by Penguin Cafe Orchestra, as written by Simon Jeffes. Prior to its release, the song was referred to as "Penguin", which was solely an instrumental track, unlike the following lyrical version.
I Could Be The One feat. Nicky Romero

The song was released as a digital download in Sweden and the Netherlands on 26 December 2012. It peaked at number three on the Swedish Singles Chart. Internationally, the single topped the charts in Hungary and the United Kingdom, peaked within the top 10 in Australia, Belgium, the Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, the Netherlands, Norway and the Republic of Ireland and the top 20 of the charts in Austria and New Zealand.
Hey Brother
#55.2"Hey Brother" is a dance song by Swedish DJ and producer Avicii from his debut studio album, True (2013). American bluegrass singer Dan Tyminski provides vocals for the track. It was written by Avicii, Ash Pournouri, Salem Al Fakir, Vincent Pontare and Veronica Maggio. "Hey Brother" sees Avicii giving his brother advice. The song, which serves as the album's third single, was solicited to Australian radio on 9 October 2013 and later released on 28 October 2013 in Germany, Switzerland and Austria. In March 2014, a version of the track remixed by Avicii himself was released on his remix album True (Avicii By Avicii), this time featuring new vocals from singer Salem Al Fakir. The song is written in the key of G Minor, at a tempo of 125 bpm.
Silhouettes
#66.4"Silhouettes" is a song by Swedish house producer and DJ Avicii featuring vocals from Swedish singer Salem Al Fakir. The track was first released on 27 April 2012 in the United Kingdom. It had previously been leaked on the internet in early 2011, albeit with a different song pitch. Some music blogs erroneously posted "Flash" by Tatana and Scaloni. For the week ending 11 May 2012, "Silhouettes" debuted at number fifty on the Irish Singles Chart. The track marked Avicii's fourth appearance on the chart, following "Seek Bromance", "Collide" and "Levels" - which peaked at number forty-nine and number three respectively.
Without You feat. Sandro Cavazza
#76.8"Without You" is a song by Swedish DJ Avicii, featuring vocals from Swedish singer Sandro Cavazza. The song was released on 11 August 2017 as the lead single from Avicii's EP, Avīci (01). "Without You" is Avicii's seventh Swedish number 1 single. On 13 October 2017, the official remix EP was released, featuring remixes from Otto Knows, Merk & Kremont, Rob Adans and the winners of his remix contest, Notre Dame and Tokima Tokio. "Without You" was the opening track in Avicii's Ultra Miami set in March 2016. The song was used frequently across the world throughout 2016. A fan made video of the song was available online from September 2016. The song was released digitally on 11 August 2017. Jeffrey Yau of Your EDM said "'Without You' is quintessential Avicii. Smooth, upbeat melodies marked with heavy string usage and a euphoric progressive house drop perfectly crafted for the mainstage. Simple, happy-go-lucky lyrics and chord progressions that will have you smiling from the first second to the last – this is Avicii at his finest."
Seek Bromance
#87.4"Seek Bromance" is a single by Swedish producer and DJ Avicii, made while he was under the name Tim Berg (stylised as Tim/Berg) and is also his second released single. It was released on 17 October 2010 in the Netherlands, where it charted at number two and on 24 October 2010 in the United Kingdom, where it charted at number 13. The song is a vocal version of his instrumental "Bromance" (which was originally released on 14 April 2010), with the addition of vocals from the track "Love U Seek" by Italian DJ Samuele Sartini featuring English singer Amanda Wilson, which, in the case of "Seek Bromance", is not credited as singer.
My Feelings For You feat. Sebastien Drums
#99.0"My Feelings for You" is a 2010 track by DJs Avicii and Sebastien Drums, which is a remix of an original made by Cassius, a French house band, which released on Astralwerks in 1999. The single was released in the United Kingdom on 13 December 2010 as a digital EP with additional remixes, as well as an additional remix EP. The vocals are sampled from "All This Love That I'm Giving" by Gwen McCrae. The vocal samples taken are reminiscent of those used by Cassius in "Feeling For You". After the single's official release in the United Kingdom, it started to receive strong amount of downloads and on 19 December 2010, charted at no. 46 on the UK Singles Chart and no. 4 on the UK Dance Chart, which were also the songs peak positions on those charts.
