Lamhe (English: "Moments") is a 1991 Indian romantic drama film, directed by Yash Chopra, and starring Sridevi and Anil Kapoor. The story was written by Honey Irani and Rahi Masoom Raza. It was inspired by the 1986 film Anokha Rishta, which was also written by Rahi Masoom Raza. Lamhe was shot in two schedules in Rajasthan and London. Over the years, it has been hailed as a classic and possibly Yash Chopra's finest film. Sridevi received widespread acclaim for her performance in the film and won the Filmfare Award for Best Actress. Although a commercial failure in India, it became a success in the UK. Lamhe went on to win several awards and features in Outlook magazine's list of Bollywood's Best Films. It has been cited as Yash Chopra's personal favourite of the movies he has done. This was one of the last films that Dr. Rahi Masoom Raza scripted. He died a couple of months after its release.
