Nextbots are mysterious and very dangerous entities that inhabit endless mazes of backrooms, and you were recently unlucky enough to fall from your reality into their otherworldly domain. This classic first-person indie horror game forces the player into a relentless fight for survival across eight distinct and terrifying levels. Your single objective is to find a way out, but you are always defenseless against the inhabitants of this place; if you encounter the entities, escape is your only chance to live. The creatures that stalk the halls are far more terrifying than anything you’ve seen before, demanding constant vigilance. The immersive atmosphere, created by realistic graphics, sound design, and responsive character controls, perfectly replicates the existential dread found in the original Backrooms lore, trapping you in a world where survival hinges on running the moment you hear a strange noise. Each of the eight backrooms presents its own unique challenge, forcing players to adapt rapidly. Exploration spans hallways and rooms of incredible shapes and sizes, from the massive labyrinth of ‘The Lobby’ where it is easy to get lost, to the ‘Habitable Zone’ which is stalked by a threat that manifests only in total darkness. Levels like Pipe Dreams, The Windows, and The End each contain unique dangers, ensuring that your journey through the facility is never predictable. While lacking traditional combat, *Nextbots In The Backrooms* earns its place among the Best Cinematic RPG games by focusing entirely on the character’s definitive role: the ultimate victim. The high-fidelity atmospheric presentation and the deeply systemic progression through increasingly hostile environmental biomes elevate the survival mechanics into a visceral, cinematic role-playing experience focused on adaptation, nerve, and narrative tension.
