Canyonlands National Park, located near Moab, Utah, is a vast and rugged wilderness carved by the Colorado and Green Rivers and their tributaries into a spectacular landscape of canyons, mesas, and buttes. Divided into four distinct districts—Island in the Sky, The Needles, The Maze, and the rivers themselves—each area offers a unique experience of the Colorado Plateau, from easily accessible overlooks to remote backcountry adventures. The park provides endless opportunities for exploration, including scenic drives, extensive hiking and backpacking trails, mountain biking on the famous White Rim Road, and whitewater rafting on the rivers. Its diverse ecosystems support a variety of wildlife, and the presence of ancient Puebloan rock art and dwellings adds a rich cultural dimension to the natural wonders.
