Ranx is designed to be a platform for users to respond, discuss and share their opinion in an open environment. While Ranx is pro-free speech and encourages users to post content about anything, content that is illegal, abusive and/or negatively impacts the community of users on Ranx will generally be deemed unacceptable.
“Ranx content” includes the elements contained in our platform such as data, graphics, texts, images, videos, audios, GIFs, software, codes, websites, website compilation, website design, theme and appearance, mobile application, mobile application design, and advertisements. Ranx content is protected by intellectual property laws including copyright and other proprietary rights of the United States and foreign countries.
You are granted the right to access Ranx content in the manner described in our Terms of Service. You may not otherwise make unauthorized commercial use of, reproduce, prepare derivative works, distribute copies, perform, or publicly display Ranx content, except as permitted by the doctrine of Fair Use or as authorized in writing by Ranx.
The purpose of this content policy is to explain what content is prohibited from Ranx and what the consequences of posting prohibited content are. Please be aware that these policies will be enforced in the spirit in which they were written, and therefore, nothing can be gained by attempting to exploit loopholes.
Ranx relies primarily upon user reports and some automated systems to learn about content that may violate our policies. After a potential policy violation is reported, Ranx may review the content and take actions which may include restricting access to the content, removing the content, and/or limiting or terminating a user’s access to Ranx platform. Note that exceptions to these policies can be made based on artistic, educational, or documentary considerations, or when there are other substantial benefits to the public from not taking action.
If you are found to be in violation of any of the policies listed below, your account may be at the risk of a suspension or a permanent ban and you will receive a warning when this occurs via email as well as on our platform. Unless you explain or correct your action/behavior within the time specified in the warning, we will follow through with banning or suspending your account. This process may be accompanied at any time with the removal of the offending content or, if necessary, all your content from our platform. Though our goal is to work with you to ensure an equitable outcome in all cases, we reserve the right to immediately suspend or ban, without notice, any content, account, or IP address which we determine to be illegal, spam, systematically generated, or potentially damaging to our service or infrastructure.
These policies are occasionally modified, so you are advised to revisit here for any updates. Several features of Ranx may have additional policies and terms beyond those mentioned below - please check our other policies and guidelines for those additional requirements.
Three specific terms are associated with our actions in response to a policy violation: warning, suspension and ban. When you have been warned about a policy violation, you will have access to your account as well as to all functionalities of Ranx during the warning period. When your account is suspended, you will no longer be able to access your account or other features of our platform for a given period of time. Public access to your content, or part thereof, may also be blocked during that period of time. Your account access and content will be restored after the suspension period. Ranx reserves the right to determine the duration of suspension period based on the nature of the policy violation. If a policy violation result in a ban of your account, you will lose access to your account permanently and your content, or part thereof may longer be accessible by public on our platform. A permanent ban of this nature can be either a ban of the user account (where another account can be created by the same individual with a different email address) or a ban of the IP address (where user can no longer access our platform from the same IP address).
Ranx defines a user as anyone who has created a Ranx account. A user account refers to the unique credentials that allow the user access to our platform. Such content will be removed and appropriate action will be taken, which may include the banning of account(s) and reporting of the incident(s) to the law enforcement and National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC).
The users are encouraged to file a report to NCMEC and contact local law enforcement if they come across content that promote child sexual exploitation somewhere else on the internet. If the content in question is hosted on a website outside of the United States, users can report it on the International Association of Internet Hotlines website.
If you find any content that exploits children, do not share, comment, respond or engage in any way with such content except flagging and reporting it using our reporting tools to bring it to our attention.
Ranx does not allow any content and profile information that is sexually explicit, like pornography. Content that features fetish(es) or sexual act(s) will either be removed or age-restricted depending on the severity of the act. Ranx does not allow the use of its platform to mislead or confuse users by pretending to be another individual, representative of an organization or company and will suspend / ban any channel that portrays another individual or an organization in a deceptive or confusing way. Fan, parody, satire and/or commentary accounts are allowed by users as long as their intent is made clear in their username and channel description.
Ranx does not allow any act of “spamming” like username squatting, publishing content that is not meaningful or relevant, use of deceptive means to generate traffic, like(s), follower(s), response(s), or posting with the primary intent of affiliate marketing etc. Ranx will continually evaluate the identifying characteristics of a “spam” or “fraud” in response to new tricks and tactics used by “spammers”.
Ranx prohibits posting and sharing of other people's personally identifying or confidential information or link(s) to personal information. Such information includes other people's credit card number(s), Social Security Number(s), driver's and/or other license number, password(s), phone number(s), physical address(es), private email address(es) etc.
Ranx allows the creation of multiple accounts using different email addresses but users must not create or use multiple accounts to engage in spamming activity, evade our policy or bypass suspension(s), ban(s) or otherwise subvert restriction(s) placed on an account. For example, if your content was removed from one channel, do not post the same or similar content using another replacement account. Multiple account owner(s) are forbidden to use their accounts to manipulate user responses to item(s), content and/or number of like(s)/dislike(s) of suggestion(s).
Ranx does not allow hate speech, abuse and other objectionable content that is unlawful, defamatory, and fraudulent. Ranx recognizes that an allegation of defamatory expression, in and of itself, does not establish defamation, as the truth or falsehood of an expression is a necessary element in establishing defamation. As Ranx is not in a position to make that kind of fact-based judgement, any content that could be regarded as defamatory may be removed and the offending channel(s) may be banned or suspended.
Ranx advises its users to respect copyright(s), trademark(s) and any other legal right(s) and law(s) that might be applicable for them and the content they share on the platform. Any means of manipulating survey responses or relevancy of content such as repetitive or misleading keywords or information is prohibited.
Ranx is granted (by you) a non-exclusive, royalty-free, transferable, sub licensable, worldwide license to use, store, display, reproduce, save, modify, create derivative works, perform, and distribute your User Content on Ranx solely for the purposes of operating, developing, providing, and using the Ranx platform. Nothing in the Terms of Service or policies shall restrict other legal right(s) that Ranx may have to User Content, for example under other licenses. Ranx reserves the right to remove or modify User Content for any reason, including User Content that it believes violates the Terms of Service or policies.
Any content that violates our Content Policy in any way will be removed from the platform. Such violations may result in suspension(s) or a permanent ban of an account. Ranx will resolve such issues on a case by case basis depending on the type, severity and context of the policy violation rather than the number of violations by the same user.
Many countries have laws and regulations differing from our policies that may be applicable to Ranx content. In order to make our platform available to users everywhere, it may be necessary to withhold access to certain content/channel(s) in a particular country from time to time. This restriction may be applied automatically or in response to a valid and properly scoped request from an authorized entity.
These policies apply generally to the content you post on our platform and your channel(s). A service may have its own separate policy(s) that can be found within that service(s) and apply to your use of them. All Ranx product(s) and service(s) are governed by applicable Terms of Service.
